Folsom, CA – November 17, 2016 – PowerSchool’s student information system (SIS) and online registration solution were selected by Illinois’s Lake County High Schools Technology Campus to streamline processes, improve staff efficiency, and foster better communication with families. PowerSchool is providing school staff with one comprehensive platform to manage student data from enrollment to graduation.

The online student registration solution replaced the school’s paper-based process for collecting and managing data for new and returning students. Families with more than one child in the district can ‘snap’ data from one student to another. SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, collects relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.). The data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet district policies and then delivered into the SIS, resulting in accurate and up-to-date records on the first day of school.
The intuitive functionality within the PowerSchool SIS provides school administrators, teachers, parents, and students with instant visibility to assignments, scores, grades, comments, and progress toward each standard. Families have the ability to monitor student proficiency on standards and receive immediate alerts specific to their child through innovative tools.
